There’s something powerful about listening, just listening to something Jesus has to say. No props…no special building. No printed or digital Bible. No journal and pen. Just a story. One of his stories, heard in the midst of a normal day.
In the last few years of Jesus’s life on earth, he talked about the Kingdom of God. He wanted us to understand something that’s so hard for us to fully grasp. So he used comparisons, lots of them. Each presents another aspect of the Kingdom and adds to our understanding.
Today’s micro-story is the parable of the wedding feast. There are two of these comparisons and they’re both a little different. I’ve chosen only one.
When you listen, pay attention to what Jesus is saying to you, personally, right where you are. Trust him to speak and really explore what you sense he wants you to know.
We only have a few more micro-stories after this one. We’ll finish before Father’s day. I hope these stories have been helpful for you.
We’re still talking about the stories on our Santé Community Group in FaceBook. Here’s how to join the conversation…
