Flowers are easy. Sunsets. Puppies. But do you have the strength to see? Cause God knows, it ain’t easy.
In Afghanistan, I saw poverty, violence, despair, disease, and injustice. By God’s grace, I endeavored to respond.
In America? What do I see? What do you see?
The God who sees
I wonder what strength it took for Jesus to stand above Jerusalem and looked down at the city whose people would destroy him. He sweat blood. Of course he did. He needed Angels to give him the strength to see and then walk into what he saw. I thank God I’m not Jesus! Yet what is he inviting me to see? What is he inviting me to walk into?
It’s a pretty significant question for those of us who follow Christ.
