On Day 2 in Athens, many of my mission trip’s hopes come to pass by God’s grace and mercy. Meet a Muslim Background Believer. Check. Meet someone who’s had a dream of Jesus. Check (so far, he has had 5). Meet someone from Iran. Check. And all found in one person.
We met at Monastiraki Square, a bustling place in Athens full of trinket stores selling a variety of handmade items, and a plethora of restaurants offering local food, gelato and fresh fruit. Oh and the best view of the Parthenon on the Acropolis. I am one of 4 trip participants paired with Iman, our Farsi translator, to go to a local park to prayer walk and engage with people.
